In Jamshedpur, on October 6, DAV Public School, NIT bossed proceedings against Jusco School, Southpark, with a clinical 12-1 win in the boys U-19 category. On the other hand, Sidhu Kanu Memorial High School,Bagantola defeated St.Mary’s English School with an impressive scoreline of 7-0 in a boys U-17 fixture.
On October 7, Co-Operative Inter College put on a flawless performance to down St.Mary’s English School with a scoreline of 10-0 in a boys U-19 game. Whereas, in the boys U-15 category, Shyama Prasad High School flexed their muscles to beat Kerala Public School, Bermamines 8-0.
Moving on to October 9, in the boys U-15 category, Vani Vidya Mandir got over the line against Gyandeep High School in a hard-fought contest, with the scoreline reading 1-0. Meanwhile, L.B.S.M Intermediate College thumped Adivasi High School 7-0 in a boys U-19 match.
On October 10, Co-Operative Inter College continued their fine run of form in the boys U-19 category, with a 5-1 victory over Dav Public School, NIT. In their previous fixture, Co-Operative Inter College were 10-0 victors against St. Mary’s English School.
Elsewhere, Ramakrishna Mission English High School were given a run for their money against Vidya Bharati High School, but eventually won the game 2-1 in a boys U-15 clash.
In the October 13 leg of games, Vidya Bharti High School bested Hindustan Mitra Mandal High School with a one-sided scoreline of 10-0 in the boys U-17 category. Additionally, in a boys U-15 game, Vani Vidya Mandir High School triumphed over Ramakrishna Mission English School in a close affair, with a scoreline of 2-1.
Meanwhile, in the Kolkata Championship Center, Vidyasagar Evening College dominated the game to defeat Techno India Salt Lake 7-0 in a boys U-21 clash on October 6. In the boys U-17 category, there was nothing to separate Sarsuna High School and Manmathanagar High School, with the scoreline reading 1-1 at the end of normal time. Eventually, Sarsuna High clinched the tie on penalties with Bijay Roy claiming player of the match honours.
On October 9, Debjit Roy was the player of the match as Shyamaprasad College trounced Behala College 6-1 in a boys U-21 fixture. In the boys U-15 category, an impressive performance by Amir Hoosen Laskar took the game away from Nayachak High School, who were comprehensively beaten 5-1 by Howramari High School.
October 10 was a day for penalty-shootouts, with as many as four matches going down to the wire.
Bantra M.S.P.C claimed the first shootout 3-1 against Aditya Academy, Barasat, in a nail-biting boys U-15 match. Elsewhere, in the boys U-19 category, Mitra Institute and Rajpur Vidyanidhi High School beat Bantra M.S.P.C and Ganipur High School respectively on spot kicks.
In another tie that was decided on penalties, Netaji Nagar College defeated Vijaygarh Jyotish Ray College 4-3, in a boys U-21 thriller.
