Parinaaz Dhaliwal: From Royal Roots to the Shooting Range | Reliance Foundation Sport
For Parinaaz Dhaliwal, shooting began at home - at the New Moti Bagh Gun Club in Patiala, a range belonging to her royal family. What started with trap shooting soon led her to skeet, a discipline she immediately connected with. From representing her school and winning individual gold at the School Games Federation of India (SGFI) to becoming a national champion, Parinaaz's early success steadily grew into a bigger ambition: representing India on the international stage. Now, as she prepares for her second Asian Games, Parinaaz enters the competition ranked No. 1 in the NRAI selection rankings for the Games. Her goal is clear: to make the most of every opportunity, including the individual and team events, and fight for a medal for India. Kushal Dalal | The Making of a Fearless Archer | Reliance Foundation Sports
Coming from a farmer’s family in Haryana, Kushal was first taken to the stadium simply to work on his fitness. Boxing was his first option, but he quickly realized it wasn’t for him. Then came archery - and with his very first throw, something clicked. What began almost by chance soon became a passion. Kushal found himself drawn to the sport’s quiet surroundings, its mental demands and the ability to stay composed under pressure. With the support of his family and coaches, he continued to grow, moving from state and national competitions to the international stage. In 2025, Kushal was part of the Indian U-21 compound men’s team that won India’s first-ever Junior World title in the event. He also went on to win individual gold at the GT Open in Luxembourg, marking his first major indoor title. Behind every achievement is a family that has stood firmly behind him - from travelling long distances for training to his grandfather keeping a diya lit at home whenever Kushal competes. With the support of Reliance Foundation helping ease the burden of training and competition, Kushal can now focus on what matters most: becoming better with every arrow. Now, with the #AsianGames2026 ahead, Kushal is ready to take on the biggest stage of his career so far - with his sights set on making every arrow count.

Krishna Jayasankar: Breaking Stigmas & Setting Records | Athletics - Shot Put | Reliance Foundation
Reliance Foundation Sports Athlete Krishna Jayasankar never planned on becoming an athlete. Sport found her almost by chance - when her school PT teacher introduced her to shot put in fifth grade. What began with a single throw soon became a journey of determination, setbacks and self-belief. From being unsure if she could even run to competing at the highest levels, Krishna kept pushing forward, eventually making history as the first Indian woman thrower to qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Championships in discus. Her comeback continued as she repeatedly raised the Indian indoor shot-put record, taking the mark from 16.03m to 17.09m and becoming the first Indian woman to qualify for the NCAA Indoor Championships. Now, with a 17.35m season best in 2026 and a place in India’s Asian Games squad, Krishna is ready for the biggest stage yet. With belief in herself, a strong support system behind her and bigger goals ahead, she knows this is only the beginning.
