Goals galore in Goa
The Regional Qualifiers in Goa came to an end with Dempo Sports Club topping the charts as they remained unbeaten in the 5 matches. The other two teams who followed the Goan giant are FC Goa and SESA FA. Both Dempo SC and FC Goa managed to keep 3 clean sheets while both teams scored 13 goals. Sporting Clube De Goa’s Francisco Fernandes ended the Goa Regional Qualifiers as the individual top-scorer with as many as 6 goals.

Magic in the Mumbai Air
In the Mumbai Regional Qualifiers, six teams went head-to-head. Each team played 5 matches and at the end of it all, MH Oranje FC ended on top, closely followed by RF Young Champs and Millat FC. MYJ-GMSC, Mumbai City FC, and Kenkre FC are slotted in the remaining three spots of the table. MH Oranje FC was in sublime form they won 4 of their 5 matches, scoring 13 goals, and drew only one. RF Young Champs, although finished second, came out on top as far as keeping clean sheets was concerned.

Magnificent action in Meghalaya-Assam
6 teams locked horns in the Meghalaya-Assam Regional Qualifiers and NorthEast United FC and Shillong Lajong FC came out on top. With only 2 teams eligible for qualification to the next stage of RFDL season 2024-25, the fight between the teams reached new heights. NorthEast United FC won all their matches scoring 18 goals and conceding only 1, while Shillong Lajong FC came close second with 4 wins in 5. SLFC scored 23 goals – the most by any team in the Meghalaya-Assam Regional Qualifiers.

Kicking it in Kerala
Muthoot FA hogged the limelight again this year in the Kerala Regional Qualifiers as they topped the standings having won 4 out of their 5 matches while scoring the most goals (15) in the Region. Gokulam Kerala FC and Kerala Blasters FC are the 2 other teams to finish in the top 3. Kerala Blasters FC’s Sujin S topped the charts for most goals by a player with 5. Gokulam Kerala FC’s Parthiv KM registered 2 clean sheets – the most by any in the RFDL Kerala Regional Qualifiers.

Absolute drama in ROI-Northeast Region
Sheer drama unfolded in the newly introduced ROI-Northeast Region as the top 2 teams tied on points. Jamshedpur FC and Classic FA finished the Regional Qualifiers with 13 points each. However, a superior goal difference meant that Jamshedpur FC made the top spot their own. Lalhriatpuia Chawngthu and Lawmsangzuala with 6 and 5 goals to their names respectively turned out to be the top-goalscorers in the region.

Scintillating action in South
The action is still on in the South Regional Qualifiers with 1 match left. The final match is scheduled to take place between Roots FC and Bengaluru FC who have registered 7 and 5 points so far in the tournament. A win for either team will ensure a top 3 finish setting up a grand show between the two. Meanwhile, Sreenidi Deccan FC sit pretty on the top with 10 points followed by Kickstart FC Karnatak with 9 points.

The North Regional Qualifiers kicked off on December 30, with only 2 rounds being played so far. 4 teams have won 1 match each, while Namdhari Sports Academy and Rajasthan United FC are yet to register a win. The stage is set for dramatic action as all 6 teams are equally matched and are ready to unleash their best as the tournament goes ahead.

RFDL Season 2024-25 is approaching a crucial stage with only a few rounds left in the Regional Qualifiers, as the action is yet to kick off in the East Region. However, the Zonal Qualifiers kick off tomorrow with Group B. 3 teams from Goa and Mumbai Regional Qualifiers are slated to fight it off for their qualification to the National Group Stage. It’s all set to get more intense as the youth teams nationwide can’t wait to prove their mettle in the Reliance Foundation Development League 2024-25. Stay tuned for all the latest updates!
