Manika Batra is India's leading table tennis star who will represent our country at the Paris Olympics 2024. From being a two-time Olympian, she is also a Commonwealth gold medalist. Manika Batra rose to world no. 4 in the WTT women's doubles ranking alongside Archana Kamath. As she gets ready for Paris 2024, she aims to bring glory home this time.

JYOTHI YARRAJI

Jyothi Yarraji is the first-ever Indian 100m Hurdler to qualify for the Olympics. She holds the national record in 100m Hurdles as she clocked 12.78s while breaching the 13s mark 10 times in the last 3 years. Having scripted history in the Asian Games by becoming the first Indian to win a medal in 100m Hurdles, Jyothi Yarraji is now focused on making her mark at Paris 2024.

Following in the footsteps of Legendary Mary Kom, Lovlina Borgohain is an Indian Boxer who is also a World Champion. An Olympic bronze medalist and a gold medalist at the World Boxing Championships, Lovlina won Gold at the Asian Boxing Championship in 2022. Lovlina Borgohain sets her eye on winning another Olympic medal as she is the only seeded boxer from India.

Reetika Hooda is the first Indian woman wrestler to qualify for the Olympics in the heavyweight (76kg) division. She has won bronze medals at the Asian Wrestling Championships 2023 and in the women's 72 kg event at the 2023 Ibrahim Moustafa Wrestling Ranking Series in Egypt. After competing in the 2024 Asian Wrestling Olympic Qualification Tournament in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, she earned a quota place for India at the Paris Olympics.

Nisha Dahiya is an Indian wrestler who will be competing in the Women's freestyle 68Kg event. She proved her mettle in 2021 when she bagged a bronze medal in the U-23 World Wrestling Championships. Sathiyan Gnanasekaran, a top Indian table tennis player, has achieved remarkable success in his career. He has won several medals, including a gold in the mixed doubles at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, and multiple medals at the Asian Championships. Sathiyan also secured a bronze in the men’s team event at the 2018 Asian Games. He is now in Paris as a reserve for the Men's team in table tennis.

Anush Agarwalla is the first Indian equestrian to qualify in a dressage event at the Olympics. He was also the first Indian dressage rider, alongside Shruti Vora, to compete at the Dressage World Championships. At the Asian Games 2023, he won a gold medal in the team event and a bronze medal in the individual event in Equestrian Dressage. By earning a quota berth for India at the Paris Olympics, he aims to bring glory to India.

Shooter Sandeep Singh is India's top 10m rifle shooter. With no background in sports, Sandeep's path to becoming an elite shooter was unconventional. He was a Sepoy in the Indian Army. Later in 2018, Sandeep won a silver medal at the National Championships that resulted in his promotion to Havaldar and a place in the national shooting squad. He served the country as an Army officer in Siachen for six months between 2021 and 2022. Earlier this year, he secured a berth for the Paris Olympics in the 10m air rifle event by triumphing in the fiercely competitive Olympic Selection Trials. Sandeep Singh now aims to bring glory home from Paris.

A first from the Indian Army to compete at the Paralympics. A first from Jammu and Kashmir to compete at the Paralympics. Amir Ahmad Bhat’s journey to international recognition was not an easy one.He made his international debut last year at the World Shooting Para Sport World Cup in Changwon, South Korea, winning a bronze in the P3-mixed 25m pistol SH1 team event. Later, Bhat clinched a silver at another World Cup in Osijek, Croatia. But his biggest win came at his maiden World Championships where Bhat teamed up with Rahul Jakhar and Nihal Singh to win the gold and earn India a quota for the Paris 2024 Paralympics.

Juyel Sarkar is one of India’s promising recurve archers. He began his international career with a gold medal at the Asian Grand Prix Circuit event in 2022. A year later, he followed it up with a silver medal at the same event along with another silver medal at the Junior Asia Cup Stage 4.

A gold medallist at the Asian Games 2022, Palak Gulia is one of India's rising talents in pistol shooting. For someone who took up the sport as a hobby at the early age of 13, Palak has established herself as the one to watch out for with consistent performances over the past few years. In 2022, she won a gold medal at the ISSF Junior Cup in Suhl, Germany before clinching the team silver in the 10m air pistol event at the ISSF World Championships in Cairo, Egypt. A title-winning run at the Khelo India Games followed this. With a sharp eye and a focused mind as an asset, Palak will surely challenge the best in the years to come

She loved volleyball and karate as a kid. But the COVID-19 pandemic and the excessive time she spent watching cartoon series to while away time saw her dad enroll her into a nearby shooting academy in Bengaluru. And that’s how Tilottama Sen’s journey into the world of sports shooting began. A shooter by chance, Tilottama is the youngest shooter to win an Olympic quota for India in shooting. She achieved this unique feat at the Asian Shooting Championships at Changwon, South Korea in 2023. Though she couldn’t make the cut for the Paris 2024 Olympics, the experience that Tilottama gained from the testing 2023 and the 2024 seasons will put her in good stead as the youngster builds on her career going forward.

A promising young shooter Nancy Mandhotra is currently the top-ranked shooter in the Women’s 10m Air Rifle category in Asia. In January 2024, she won a gold medal at the Asian Shooting Championships 2024 with an Asian record of 252.8 points.
