FORMAT - RELIANCE FOUNDATION DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE (RFDL)

Teams from the ISL, I- League I & II, Clubs and youth academies will all be eligible to enter this season’s RF Development League. With the expansion of this year’s edition, an U21 team qualifying for the National Championship, will get the opportunity to compete in close to 20 games, giving our future footballing talent exposure to the largest scouting platform in Indian football.

For this season, the RFDL will be expanding from last year’s centralised format and now feature over 350 competitive games delivered in 3 phases:

Phase 1

Regional Qualifiers - 9 zones, 6 teams in each. Intense battle as teams vie for a place in the subsequent stage. The quest for glory starts!

Phase 2

Zonal Group Stage - 4 zones, 6 teams per zone, fighting it out twice against every opponent. The journey gathers pace!

Phase 3

National Group Stage - 12 teams, 2 groups, and one shot per opponent. The stakes are high as the race to the championship heats up in Mumbai!

Phase 4

National Championship - Top four teams of Phase 3 compete in the semi-finals. Winners face each other for the title, while the rest compete for third place. One Champion...One ultimate glory!
