Midfielder Ravali R. got her double hat-trick in the first half and gave Telangana Sports School a 12-0 lead at half-time. They upped the ante in the 2nd half and scored a further fourteen goals to end the match 26-0. Govt. Vocational Junior College Nampally (GVJS), Hyderabad and Oakridge International locked horns in their Senior Boys semi-final clash. Mohd. Rizwal Khan opened the scoring for GVJS. in the 7th minute. But their lead was short-lived as Shahzed Hussain equalized for Oakridge with a top-notch finish in the 20th minute of the game. After an action-packed 45 minutes, the teams headed back in the break at a stalemate with the score poised at 1-1. After play resumed, Lokesh Parvatareddy’s shot deflected from the defender’s leg and went straight into the goal to give Oakridge a 2-1 lead in the 52st minute. It looked like the Oakridge would take the win until Mohis Khan’s unbelievable hit from 30 yards beat the keeper and went straight in the top right corner. An 89th minute equalizer suddenly gave the game a whole new impetus. The match was taken to penalties after the full-time whistle was blown, with the score reading 2-2. It was Govt. Vocational Jr. College who edged out their opponents with a fine 5-4 win in the penalty shoot-out and booked their place in the Championship finals.
The last semi-final of the day was played out between the College Boys of CMR Group of Institution and Muffahkham Jah College. The game didn’t see any significant action in the first 45 minutes as the first half ended goalless. The 2nd half saw Muffahkham Jah College dominate most of the possession, but they couldn’t find the back of the net. The constant pressure in the opposition’s box would soon pay off when an 81st minute strike gave Muffahkham Jah the all-important lead with nine minutes to go. Abdul Mohammed’s solo strike eventually proved to be the difference at full-time as Muffahkham Jah College booked a berth in the College Boys finals with a hard fought, narrow 1-0 win over CMR Group of Institution.
Fixtures were held in other cities with The Riverside School finishing a brilliant 6-0 win over Best High School in Ahmedabad. Army Public School from Bengaluru defeated Euro School Chimneyhills by a massive 7-0 margin at full-time.
