National Finals, Junior Boys: H. Elias Memorial School, Shillong win the National Champions over a penalty shootout

The fixture was held in the Reliance Corporate Park in Mumbai on January 5th, 2020.

 

The match is between H. Elias Memorial School, Shillong and Government Oriental High School, Palakkad. Government Oriental High School started off the match with a very attacking strategy  intent on scoring as quickly as possible. The defense reigned supreme on both sides and it did not allow any opportunities for either side and the first half ended scoreless. Both teams changed up their strategies in order to score but it had no effect and the second half also ended scoreless. These two teams had a very strong defense throughout the tournament and it showed today. No goals were scored in regulation. The match then went into a penalty shootout which was one by H. Elias memorial School 1-0. The National champion in the Junior Boys category is H. Elias  Memorial School! The player of the match was Munavar P from Government Oriental High School, Palakkad. The Golden Boot went to Birsha Tudu from ASC Sports Schools for his four goals. The Golden Ball was awarded to Gladdy Nelson Kharbuli from H. Elias Memorial School. The Golden Glove went to Muhammed Sohail P from Government Oriental High School, Palakkad.
