After the emphatic win, East Bengal head coach Bino George expressed his thoughts on the team's performance and their ambitions in the league saying, "In the previous match, we lost against Mohun Bagan, so before coming into this game, we had planned and prepared to face their high ball & direct football style of play," he quoted.

"Our primary goal in this competition is to promote our young players to the senior team. We are assessing how they play against tough teams & different oppositions. I think RFDL is very important for the growth of talented young players to go up to the senior level," he added.
